Two brilliant local church events took place recently. Sadly I was too involved with doing things for the events to take photographs. On the 12th June and the 3rd July.
However if you chose not to be at the Whitfunday eceumenical event on the 12th June or the parish Summer party at Ammerdown on the 3rd July you obviously must have been on a long overseas holiday or seriously ill in hospital or just extremely boring! There was entertainment provided by talented people for people of every age and interest. From Silver bands to popular aceustic music, from Magic to Mime, from childrens games to serious conversation. Climbing Walls to Countryside walks and walled gardens. Food and drink and available transport laid on free to everyone who wanted to attend.
If you missed these events this year, then kick yourself because there is no guarantee they will come round again. If you want a convivial, participatory, community church then we need you to be involved. Use it or loose it! This is true in churchy thinks as in every other walk of life
